Minnie Dlamini and her husband, Quinton Jones, are getting divorced.
On Tuesday, the media personality announced that they were getting divorced after five years of matrimony.
As many are still celebrating the month of love, the couple shared the end of their marriage in a joined statement on Minnie’s Instagram page.
“In the last two years, our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time, we found comfort in knowing we had it each,” it read.
The couple admitted to going through an emotional burden and post-traumatic stress of their loss which ultimately outweighed their will to stay together.
“After months of separation and consultation with our family and a counsellor, We have decided to file for divorce officially. Despite the end of our marriage and a romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners and loving parents to our beautiful son,” the statement continued.
The Home-ground presenter and media personality were joined together in Holy matrimony in 2017 at a lavish fairytale white wedding in the Western Cape.
The couple showcased their wedding journey with the whole of Mzansi in a three-part series that aired on Showmax that same year.
Minnie and Quinton have pleaded for privacy during this difficult time. She has since deleted the Jones surname on all her social media accounts.
